Hello and Welcome

Hello!

We know this is a difficult time for you. The choice you are making is one of the most brave and loving choices that can be made, and we are praying for you and your child. We know that the home you pick out for your baby will be the perfect one, even if it isn't our home that you choose. We will do our best to answer any questions you have. Know that you have our deepest respect.

First, we should probably tell you a little about us. We are high school sweethearts and have been married for almost 5 years. We date approximately 5 years before we were married, and we have a biological son, Gabe, who is 3. We are a Christian family living in a little town that we love, and are close to all our family. We always talked about adopting children, even in high school, and it just turned out that adoption was the way God intended for us to make our family complete. The more the merrier around here! Children are a beautiful gift, and any child that we welcome into our home will be loved and cherished with all that we have.

Craig works at a family-run business about 20 miles away from our home doing plumbing, electrical work, and heating and air-conditioning. Although he went to school specifically for heating and air-conditioning, he's so handy he gets roped into other jobs as well! He is also part of the youth leadership team at our church, where he teaches, plays guitar, leads worship, and goofs off with the kids as much as he can. He is a giver in every sense of the term. He is so generous with his time - everyone knows that if it's within his power to help, he will.

Adrienne is a respiratory therapist at our local hospital. Giving breathing treatments, managing respirators, and responding to code and rapid-response situations are a few of the things she does. She works the night shift and has a floating schedule that allows her to be home with Gabe all but one day of the work week (which is why she chooses to work that shift). She spends the rest of her time trying to keep up with the laundry, the dog, and her messy guys!

Gabe is an awesome little guy, who is full of energy. We love him to pieces, and he is very excited about having a new baby brother or sister. He talks about it all the time, and shows the baby's room to anyone who comes over to the house. We have so much fun with him, and can't wait for another little person to love.

We want you to know that we will always be up-front with our child concerning their adoption. We want them to know that the choice was made out of a deep love for them, and we want them to be comfortable with who they are. It's important that they know their personal story, and how they came to be part of our family. Your child will always know of your love and personal sacrifice.

We want to raise our children to love the Lord, and be independent, motivated, and compassionate people. Our home is filled with love (of course), laughter, and sometimes chaos, but we love it. Raising children is a great responsibility, and we don't take that responsibility lightly, but we also try not to sweat the small stuff. We strive to provide a good balance of humor, discipline, fun, and love for our family. We love being parents and are honored to have that responsibility. We are simple people who value family over possessions. We will love another baby with all our hearts, and we know that you will make the very best choice for him or her (even if it's not us). Thank you for reading our profile. God bless you!

About Craig (by Adrienne)
Craig is a wonderful, family-oriented guy. He loves Gabe, and he loves me, and does everything he can to let us know it. He is generous to a fault. He is close to his extended family as well. He calls his mom and his aunt - who just obtained custody of her granddaughters, every week to check on them and offer assistance (but I don't think he knows that anyone else knows that). He is careful about providing for our future, and takes care of the things he has. He is also very funny and loves to goof off. He considers others before himself - when we got married he put off going to college so he could work and pay our bills while I went. He is a great guy and a great dad. Gabe just lights up when he gets home from work. We're lucky to have him.

About Adrienne (by Craig)
If I were to pick two words to describe Adrienne they would be dorky and giving. She enjoys playing with Gabe no matter how tired or busy she is. She really loves getting down on the floor, breaking out the toys and just building a relationship with Gabe. She is very good at balancing work and play. Prioritizing and planning have always been one of her strong points, which works out great because I'm a spur of the moment kind of person. She also understands the importance of maintaining relationships with friends and family. She talks to her mom and dad just about on a daily basis, and keeps up a great relationship with her brother in North Carolina. Adrienne also really enjoys working and spending time outside. She loves taking Gabe outside to tend the flowerbeds or rake up all the leaves into a huge pile just to dive in. Adrienne is a wonderful mother, loving and caring. She is also an amazing wife who always puts her family first.
